Our Community House includes a variety of attractive and flexible options for venue hire. It’s the perfect place to hold your next board meeting, strategic planning session, off-site confab, training course, seminar or launch.

Venue Hire Board Room

The Joan Kirner Room (boardroom/training space)

Our beautiful, comfortable and adaptable boardroom and training space sits at the heart of Our Community House.

Named after one of Australia’s most prominent community campaigners, the Joan Kirner Room brims with ideas and energy, playing host to a variety of training, meetings and events.

This versatile space can be transformed into multiple configuration options, making it perfect for a variety of purposes. Options include:

  • Traditional boardroom style (up to 28 people)

  • Classroom style (up to 20 people)

  • Theatre style (up to 48 people)

The room is well-equipped with a data-projector, whiteboard, telephone, Chromecast for screen-sharing and fully integrated video conferencing.

The boardroom/training room sits adjacent to an on-site café, meaning your meeting guests can come early or stay late and soak in the Our Community House vibe.

The Joan Kirner Room is available to hire at the following rates:

  • Half-day (8:30am - 12:30pm / 1pm - 5pm): $350 +GST

  • Full-day (9am - 5pm): $600 +GST

  • After hours evening rate: $150 +GST per hour (minimum of two hours)

  • Weekend day rate: $150 +GST per hour (minimum of four hours)

The Our Community House Event Space

The operable walls of the Joan Kirner room can unfurl, allowing for an expanded event space that connects the boardroom with the beautiful Our Community House lobby and café.

Hirers of this space get access to all the facilities and catering offered in the boardroom (including audio-visual facilities), with the added benefit of more space for mingling and networking, providing the perfect setting for all sorts of formal and informal functions.

The OC House Event Space is generally only available after-hours except in exceptional circumstances.

  • After hours evening rate: $200 +GST per hour (minimum of two hours)

  • Weekend day rate: $200 +GST per hour (minimum of four hours)

Market Dining Hall

Our stylish market-style kitchen is the perfect space for less formal meet-ups and events.

The Market Dining Hall is only available after hours except in exceptional circumstances.

  • After hours evening rate: $150 +GST per hour (minimum of two hours)

  • Weekend day rate: $150 +GST per hour (minimum of four hours)
